I've heard that Dolly Parton had a rule that if she was in a room where anyone was crying, she would join them--just good manners. On this day of her passing, I'm assuming many of us will honor the great singer and human being by crying together.
update: 13yo says they were told yesterday that there is a limit of 2 trips to the bathroom per school day and that leaving a classroom to visit the can involves a "homeroom sheet." to which I will say to school staff,

I've been selling CDs on discogs and I'm frankly surprised at how bad the buyers' etiquette re: leaving feedback is. Eleven sales and only 1 review... I know these guys are satisfied because I haven't heard from any of them....lazy bums
decided to put this on, because I’d only listened to it once, after Peacock’s death in 2020. I don’t know why I haven’t listened to it more—it’s great, and it feels like I’ve discovered an album all over again!
