Typo Queen, figure skating fan, cat enthusiast, lover of red rocks, spends too much time in Skyrim, and down to argue with 90s sitcom characters. Was Thomas_comma_S on Twitter.
August books! Favorite of the month month was The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson.
If we’re going to revert right back to judges having their heads up Eteri’s backside like nothing even happened then there are other sports/hobbies I can go enjoy instead. Just take the pcs out of scoring entirely if it’s not going to be judged meaningfully.

Surely there must exist a protein bar that actually tastes nice.
I’ll be honest, I’m having a bit of a tough time getting too pumped for figure skating this season. Having the Russians back just really casts a pall over everything.

Disney channel is re-airing classics from my youth during their late nights, and I’ve kind of enjoyed revisiting Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven, and Kim Possible. The early 2000s-ness of it all is STRONG. Not Hannah Montana though. That was like a kid-generation below me and I never liked it.
"Neutral" Russian junior ice dance team skates to a Ukrainian song. Tell me again how important it was to let them back into competition and how carefully you vetted your "neutral" athletes, ISU. #jgpfigure 🤬 ⛸️

July books. Favorite was either Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury but as usual I liked everything.
🔢 I had to make adjustments to Fantasy Skating to beta-launch it - but Cranberry Cup is open for drafting! Men & women SP are tomorrow morning, so you have a limited time Consider this a warmup! It'll help work out any kinks before the bigger events ➡️ www.rockerskating.com/fantasy
Good riddance, July. I don’t know how you always manage to last six months long.
I cannot do more 100 degree days. My heat tolerance is maxed out. 💀
🎶 Everyday I’m suffering 🎶 *party rock anthem beat drops, and so do I*
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (knowing I haven’t played the first one) or Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon? (Exploring and immersion tend to be what I look forward to most in these types of games, as opposed to combat mechanics or difficulty.)
I really think everyone should get two birthdays a year. For morale.
Armed with my unused Christmas gift cards I am out to maximize my Xbox summer sale spoils. Narrowing it down will be the hardest part.
June was a good month for my reading (bad for everything else). I really liked everything but my favorite of the month was What You Are Looking For Is In The Library by Michiko Aoyama, which may have made me tear up a little when I found chapters 1 and 5 were both about me.
*Alicia Keys voice* This. State. Is on FIYYYYYYAAAAAAA. This. State. Is on FIYYYAAaaaaaAAA.
Past two months have been super stressful, and that looks to continue. And to top it off my student tonight asked me if I “was alive the last time the Olympics were in Salt Lake City,” so now I am also an ancient eldritch gremlin.
