If we’re going to revert right back to judges having their heads up Eteri’s backside like nothing even happened then there are other sports/hobbies I can go enjoy instead. Just take the pcs out of scoring entirely if it’s not going to be judged meaningfully.

I’ll be honest, I’m having a bit of a tough time getting too pumped for figure skating this season. Having the Russians back just really casts a pall over everything.

Disney channel is re-airing classics from my youth during their late nights, and I’ve kind of enjoyed revisiting Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven, and Kim Possible. The early 2000s-ness of it all is STRONG. Not Hannah Montana though. That was like a kid-generation below me and I never liked it.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (knowing I haven’t played the first one) or Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon? (Exploring and immersion tend to be what I look forward to most in these types of games, as opposed to combat mechanics or difficulty.)

June was a good month for my reading (bad for everything else). I really liked everything but my favorite of the month was What You Are Looking For Is In The Library by Michiko Aoyama, which may have made me tear up a little when I found chapters 1 and 5 were both about me.

A stack of books. Top to bottom the books are:
-Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 3 by Kamome Shirahama
-The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
-What You Are Looking For Is In The Library by Michiko Aoyama
-How to Survive Camping: The Lady in Chains
-Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot
-The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas
-Redshirts by John Scalzi

Past two months have been super stressful, and that looks to continue. And to top it off my student tonight asked me if I “was alive the last time the Olympics were in Salt Lake City,” so now I am also an ancient eldritch gremlin.
