Keeping your ride on track! 🚆 Over the weekend, our crews replaced crossties on the Orange Line. Crossties are beams that support the rails & help keep tracks stable. When older crossties are replaced, trains can operate on a more stable track, helping deliver a safer & more comfortable journey.

Our team was hard at work on the Orange Line, installing & securing new rail ties. 🟠 Ties act as the foundation of the rail system, making sure rails are the correct distance apart, & support the weight of trains. Replacing them before they wear out is a key part of keeping Metro safe & reliable.

Our dedicated crews put a lot of work into cleaning our stations…including the parts you don’t see! Trash thrown behind the parapet wall can increase the risk of fires and attract critters 🐀❌ Help us keep stations clean by disposing of garbage in trash cans located on platforms and mezzanines.
