Working on Dev Tools @expo.dev Previously maintaining React Native SDK @sentry.io

🥳 We raised some money. Expo is the best it's ever been, and this round of funding will help us get a lot better. With this money we can go faster on the things that matter: faster builds, smoother native integrations, and better e-2-e DX. Charlie wrote about what's next: expo.dev/blog/what-ex...

Released a massive update of my coffee timer app, Single Origin. I wanted to brew the roaster-created recipes available on the Fellow Aiden & xBloom, so I built an app that guides you through every pour, agitation, etc. Since it's built with Expo, it runs on iOS, WatchOS, Android, & Web. 👇

lately I can't imagine working without git worktrees but there are a couple of things I don't care about, path of the tree, name of the tree, always start from origin main. so over the weekend I (Claude) created a simple SwiftUI app for a quick creation of the trees github.com/krystofwoldr...

`If this is intentional, prepend VarName with an underscore.` This is a dangerous recommendation these days, I've noticed agents tend to add _ without intention instead of removing the dead code.

Can AI build production-ready mobile apps? 📱 We’re stoked to have David Mokos at our next meetup! David started SteerCode, which recently joined @expo.dev to make Expo the AI-first mobile app framework He’ll show us how Expo Agent is bringing agentic development to React Native 💛

quality of life feature in @expo.dev 55, iOS dev builds using expo-dev-client will discover devservers on the local network automatically ✨📡 qr codes are finally fully optional now 😄

Big release for @guild.host is out! Only 40,000+ lines changed 🤯 Featuring full Dark Mode support and brand new Guild Membership & Event Registration forms with full Approval functionality for folks joining 😉 Really happy with the results! So much more to come 🚀

Although I barely write code now, I still run commit and push handful of times, since 15+ tool calls to do it by an agent seems like a waste to me.

The iOS queue times for Free plan users on @expo.dev were around 4 hours at this time last week. We increased our Mac capacity today. We're seeing <10 min queue times right now. ⚡ Subscribers are seeing 0 min queue times.

Debugging in React Native got easier today. We now have an official integration with @sentry.io so you can see errors and replays directly in your EAS Deployments. No more digging through logs or guessing at app state. 📖 expo.dev/blog/diagnos...

Diagnose and debug errors faster with issues and replays from Sentry in Expo

With the new Sentry integration in EAS you can view crash reports & session replays for your Expo app deployments—so you can fix issues fast, with full context.
