Hello SJC! Was up til 2 packing and working, now about to fly to Seattle in 35 minutes and then dial into a 9am presentation. Looking forward to the Woodland Park Zoo adult event tomorrow, and hanging with some Very Good critters. But first let's see how fast I sleep on this plane.

Life has been pretty chaotic lately. Trying to spend some time getting my house in order and mending friendships, but it's been a lot on my mind. I think I just need some time petting big friendly animals.

A very well-written description of the background noise I feel when deciding who I can be. I consider myself pan/NB, but from a distance Latte and I look straight/cis and sometimes it makes me feel like I'm intruding—or being told what I am instead—just by searching for the right "me" for me.

saw this earlier and it genuinely broke my heart i'm not AMAB for the record but every nonbinary person deserves to belong in queer spaces

As you get older & wiser, two things happen. You understand yourself & what matters much better, but also feel more confused about why the world isn't what you thought it'd be. Dear friends can become old melancholy photographs in a blink. So speak your heart, live your truth and love fearlessly.

Older lady peeped the rainbow flag on my bike, asked in a thick Russian accent “It’s your Pride?” She told me her youngest grandchild is “not she berry or he berry but no berry.” I said “Nonbinary?” She got so excited. Yes! Yes! And “Is a secret, but they are my“ *looks around, whispers* “favorite.”

One day I may do an encore of my 5-min presentation. I'm still proud of the line "what if Party Rock wasn't just in the House...but in the Senate?"

The title slide of a presentation titled "EVERYTHING STARTED GOING DOWNHILL WHEN LMFAO BROKE UP IN 2012". The word "LMFAO" uses colorful letters with a leopard-print effect on them.

This last sunday was the finale and big reveal of a home-run version of @gamechanger.dropout.tv S7E1 "One Year Later" that I set up for some friends! 16 tasks and a year to do them all, and i couldnt be more impressed with how everyone did. we all put a lot of effort in and i think it paid off

In the brush beneath a Mission Bay overpass, two coyotes break into song as a Caltrain barrels past. Their duet — equal parts whimper, howl and bark — rises and falls in chorus with the horn of the train.

I've been on a mending kick lately - I got a darning kit and have been patching holes in favorite old hoodies, jeans, and socks. It's been a really great way to get some non-screen time in, save some stuff from the landfill for another year or two, and build out a cost-efficient skill.

Two mends on a pair of jeans. The one on the left is a colorful one done on a darning loom, and the one on the right is freehand using sewing thread for practice. They're not the nearest job, but skills don't start perfect and I'm still proud :)

Every year for Pride, I repost Hue. I made him to send love and comfort to those who feel Pride isn’t for them because they aren’t out. You matter, you are valid, and it’s ok if you aren’t ready yet. Coming out is not a requirement for being part of this community. Happy Pride 🌈
