I saw a post this morning about a TADC pop up in Japan, started thinking out loud about indie animation prioritizing fan experiences overseas, then started questioning why indie animation is so beholden to following the trends of mega corps re: endless plastic merch

The new gen of MLP looks really cute and I have no opinions on it as someone not in the age bracket they’re aiming at. I will, however, say it is a controversial choice to start the series off with a dramatic montage of Rarity and Applejack getting turned into glue
The Odyssey is a fantastic movie with a stellar cast and I was GRIPPED to my seat the whole time. But I also felt like the writing was so exceedingly on the nose sometimes and when someone says “our Bronze Age is collapsing” I giggled a bit. Also weird Christian moral tie ins for some reason

During AC every year we go to the chocolate shop in the Strip District and each pick bars and then we do tastings from the communal chocolate pile. It’s very fun
