The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.
So sad this game isn’t moving forward but happy to see the work that was done being shown off rather than put in a vault forever. Oh what could have been…

Lots of people replying/quoting this with jokes about dinosaurs/jurassic park/etc and it’s a good time for a favorite fun fact: all birds are literally a branch of theropod dinosaurs that split off from other theropods in the Jurassic period. They look like dinosaurs because they are dinosaurs.

Just tried to look up the Ordovician jawless fish with the funny face and these are the things I searched for and got nothing because it was spelled SO wrong: -sacombabsis -sacombibabsis -sacobibastis The correct answer was: -sacabambaspis

It makes me so sad to go into a Michaels and see tons of craft project kits where the pattern is obviously some sorta AI slop. You’re supposed to buy that and spend hours making it when the bones of it are hollow? Fuck off with that.
