One of the things about Bo Naylor that was very puzzling is how well he was treated by Guardians fans. I don't know if this was because he seemed like a nice guy or because he was Josh's brother and Josh was a significant Guardian when Bo came up.

I know you're all keen to hear my "hot take" on The Odyssey. Here it is. Since The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Nolan has fetishized an "every three years" release pattern. The Odyssey as a subject would have benefited from more marinating; the script/rumination phase should have been longer.

One of the analytical failures of the football community in the wake of the England-Argentina game is just sheerly underestimating the difficulty of a team like Argentina scoring twice in 10 minutes. I don't think it's **that** hard or **that** surprising that they could do it, when pressed.

I have a brief rant to do about the TV show Industry. I'm a fan of the podcast The Watch and they talk about this show all the time. They love it. I had not tried it until this year. I watched the first season and a half. I quit because I could not give a red hot tinker's damn about the stakes.

I was very moved by the color-blind casting of The Odyssey. Nolan went out of his way to assemble a talented cast that specifically Stephen Miller and Pete Hegseth would hate, and it worked beautifully. It seemed a clear affirmation of our great mixed-up American melting pot, and that moved me.

Hello, lame duck status! It's now official. Donald Trump gives a prime-time address alleging serious election fraud and the entire media spectrum including Fox News is pretending it didn't happen (or calling it out as false).

It’s kind of interesting that we basically didn’t get a 250th anniversary celebration because Trump fucked it up and nobody really calls him out about this or even notices? Like he took something away from us here.

Maybe I'm crazy but I think this article from Columbus about MAGA and the far left has a lot of value. He's a reasonable guy who has absorbed a lot of hooey but means well. I don't know, there's a lot to be learned from it. We need to talk to that guy specifically, almost deprogram him.
