after so many years of just giving & pouring, you can find that youve raised someone who really knows & sees you, in ways NO ONE else does. that was, for me, the most beautiful surprise of having a grown child. the empathy, support, & loyalty.
parenthood is wild because its a role we play, sometimes forgetting we are being experienced & observed as individuals. having grown kids is being forced to reconcile what you thought you taught your child, to what you actually modeled for them.
