Lola, our second stray who came inside last week, had her babies last night. Three grey and one black. They are beyond cute. ❤️ In related news, we’ve gone from 0 to 7 cats in under a year. It happens fast, y’all. 😂

Grey mama cat with four kittens, three grey and one black, on a grey fur-like blanket. Tiny grey baby kitten, less than six hours old.

A friend of 25 years passed away this week. He was only 46. Completely unexpected. Still have more questions than answers, but at this point, I'm not sure it matters. His passing is yet another solid reminder that no days are promised. Also, that grief is a non-linear bitch. Gonna miss that dude.

Today in “Stuff I’d Rather A Robot Do”… I showed ChatGPT photos of recipes I plan to make this week and told it how many servings I want, and it made me a lovely grocery list with all items combined. I’m sure some of y’all have been on this for a while, but it was a fun first for me. ✨YAY AI✨

Husband’s watching church online and I can’t help but think it’s truly a miracle that Jesus was able to get his message across without all these lights, screens, sweeping cameras, fog machines…

happy first birthday to Bluesky, and what a year it's been! with every day, the need for an open network that puts people first becomes increasingly clear. we're glad to be building this with you. after all, the heart of a social network is the people.

Popular meme format, grandma labeled with "bluesky's public launch was one year ago today." Younger person helping her labeled with "sure grandma let's get you to bed."

Some thoughts on Wednesday-night’s tragic air accident near Washington, DC: The mid-air collision of American Airlines flight 5342 and a US Army VH-60 helicopter is highly personal for me. It literally hits close to home as I live approximately three miles away from National Airport.

Alrighty friends -- I present the next installment of "It's never just a cat"... another addition to our feral pack of love. Meet Todd. He's favoring his back left leg a bit. I wish I knew how to help him, as I fear calling him in may result in a worse outcome. Guess I'll just get more food. 😂

Three hours before graduating, my son brought home a cat. We are a dog house. We did not want a cat. Seven months later, said cat owns all of us. I also have a group of feral cats I now feed with attachments to all. And now it seems our pack has grown more. Lesson: It's never "just a cat," y'all.

“Trump has promised to pardon Jan. 6 rioters when he returns to the White House. Experts warn that could trigger a renaissance for militant extremists, sending them a message of protection and support — and making it all the more urgent to understand them.” WHEW. 👉 www.propublica.org/article/ap3-...

A Mole Infiltrated the Highest Ranks of American Militias. This Is What He Found.

Outraged by the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a wilderness survival trainer spent years undercover climbing the ranks of right-wing militias. He didn’t tell police or the FBI. He didn’t tell family or friends....

Today marks eight years without a cigarette and I still miss them all the time. Twelve years clean and sober, but I don’t miss that shit at all. The smell, the taste, the action of smoking, however… I’ll be a smoker until I die. I just won’t be one who smokes anymore.

Was psyched to give @proton.me a try with their 50% holiday discount. Got it all set up and realized there isn’t a way to give read/write permissions to another calendar app. Has anyone found a way to work with this? I have other accounts I can’t bring into Proton, so third party cal is a must.
