#ExtinctionRebellion of Greater Boston, MA. We demand immediate government action on the #ClimateCrisis. Non-violent civil disobedience for No New Fossil Fuel Infrastructure. http://xrboston.org/join

A cheer for the rebels who will not sleepwalk into the middle years of the climate crisis! On my way to Boston, as I cycled along the delightful Somerville Community Path, shortly before 6am, even the morning sunshine and the songbirds seemed to be saying, "take courage."

Rebels block access to Westin Copley Place Hotel where the Northeast LDC Gas Forum is meeting; we demand that Massachusetts ban new fossil fuel infrastructure & rapidly transition off natural gas. GAS is BAD for MASS! ARRESTS EXPECTED #ClimateCrisis xrboston.org/press/climat...

A pink car emblazoned with the phrase "GAS IS BAD FOR MASS" sits in the intersection at Copley Square. One activist is attached to the car while others have locked themselves to large pink oil barrels. @shankman.bsky.social @miriamwasser.bsky.social @davabel.bsky.social @boston25news.com @wcvb5.bsky.social @chronical5.bsky.social @nbcboston.com @wbznewsradio.bsky.social @wgbh.org @wbur.org

The Northeast LDC Gas Forum is conducting business as usual at The Westin Hotel despite the looming climate crisis. Outside, police use power tools to separate activists from barrels & a pink car emblazoned with the phrase "GAS IS BAD FOR MASS" parked in the intersection at Copley Square.

5 trained and prepared activists arrested while conducting a non-violent protest to stop new gas infrastructure. Using a pink car, pink barrels and their bodies, rebels blocked access to the Gas Forum where Build Baby Build is the attitude despite Mass's legal mandate to be net zero by 2050

XR Boston demands that Massachusetts ban new fossil fuel infrastructure. Fossil Fuel Barons push to build more gas infrastructure that will be either stranded assets or still in use by 2050, and the state is encouraging their climate-assaulting, profit-making plans.
