Great talk! The DBMS ecosystem is badly lacking in sustained revolutionary efforts. It's understandable - even with OSS accelerators like Calcite and DataFusion the entry costs for addressing the inertia of SQL are extreme. Luckily DuckDB proves that revolutions here are still possible, and welcome!
