I was very fortunate to be given access to JOVIE by @eclipsedsounds.bsky.social pre-release so I decided to limit myself to minimal editing and mixing with stock plugins to really test the voice out. Her country accent is gorgeous, and responds very easily to retakes and pitch edits.

Hi, I’m a secondary student and I hope this is ok to post here. For an assignment, I’m supposed to talk to an envoy about an aspect of old Earth and talk about it in my paper. I talked to my uncle's friend, who works at OEPS. She said that one thing she wishes were around are these tall plants that had spikes on them called kacktuss (idk how to spell it). But when I asked my uncle about it he had no idea and said she's kind of in her own world sometimes. Were kacktuss a real plant or is she just making fun of me?

Hi! I understand why you’d be unsure about this plant, considering the envoy you’ve been speaking to seems to like jokes. I spoke to a couple of people in [OldEarthBiologists], which is a private board. A few of them have heard of this before; it’s spelled “cactus”. It was a kind of plant that grew in deserts and dry climates all across Old Earth.

Oh it's alright, this is just part of being an envoy after all. It was mostly a lot of dizziness and bumping into things - the "muscle memory" from my memory donor was coordinated for a much shorter body than THS had anticipated I would need. THS did a bunch of tests and remade some parts, using some from the original body they made and then created some new ones. I have no disconnect these days and life is good.
