Greetings from Savonlinna, Finland, where I’ve just arrived for a few performances at the opera festival here, most notably Lisette Oropesa in her role debut in Norma. Very pretty spot, lots of water and trees and of course the castle. Tonight great clouds too!

At THE ODYSSEY on one of the only IMAX 70 venues left in the world…and they haven’t figured out how to play the movie yet. 20+ minutes after showtime; they’ve briefly started it twice, then turned it off. No communication from theater staff. Very worried this isn’t happening. Sigh.

Two memorial bicycle rides for Louisa Gag this eve. One starts at 5:30 at Fern Triangle in Allston to the Trader Joe's in Coolidge Cor. at 6, down Longwood to Tremont and Parker for a vigil. The other leaves Adams Park in Roslindale at 5:45 and Forest Hills at 6 for the ride to Tremont and Parker.
Happy last day of school to me! My kid survived yet another 180 school days without a school shooting. Now I can relax for 10 weeks.

Currently at second of 5 end-of-year concerts / recitals that my kid is playing. Some kid must not want to be in it as the fire alarm went off just before the concert was scheduled to begin. But the show must go on.
96 hours in 🇨🇭 Apart from 5 performances (3 concerts at Lucerne festival and 2 operas in Zurich), I also squeezed in half day in Basel and a hike in Lugano area!
