Spent some time playing Yasmine online in SF6 yesterday and today, and having a lot of fun. Figuring out how to exert pressure with her is a cool challenge after playing AKI; and her anti-airs being really good is helping me get better at reading/punishing jumps. Had a lot of great matches tonight.

I hope for many reasons Abdul El-Sayed wins in Michigan tonight, in no small part because the ‘electability’ argument is crystal clear: Stevens is a hardcore pro-Israel defender in a state where a less extreme version of her positions cost Harris the election there 2 years ago.

That is genuinely inspired casting. Bautista doesn't just have the physique - he's got that bruised weariness and heart of a character actor that is really central to the 2018-onwards incarnation of Kratos. I don't think this series is necessary but I can't imagine anyone more qualified for this.

I'm seeing a lot of SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE BACK posts in the wake of #BrandNewDay's success. Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

Played around with Yasmine in SF6 - she’s super fun! I haven’t necessarily clicked with rushdown characters before but I like her kit a lot. Her arcade mode has a good amount of story/characterization and some really great art, including this one going straight into my wallpaper rotation.

Beat HALO CAMPAIGN EVOLVED (on legendary co-op). It’s the best HALO release since Bungie departed the series 16 years ago. A phenomenal remake that makes exquisite use of modern tools to breathe new life into the original art design, and updates the gameplay w/o ever losing the game’s essence.

This is one I’ve been meaning to get for a while but it’s been OOP - very nice to see it coming back.

Heck yes!!! I was one of those people worried this would never get a disc. It’s darn good, the better of the last 2 Koike movies, so I’m very glad it’ll be part of a complete collection now.

These are absolutely buck-wild numbers, but I'd caution anyone from declaring 'superhero movies are back' b/c Spider-Man is big. Spider-Man is *always* big. Spider-Man and Batman are the two superheroes who are enduringly popular no matter what else is going on. They effectively transcend the genre.

I think Abdul should be the nominee for dozens of reasons, but the core of it really is that he’s got public health expertise and fluency in a time when we need that more than ever. If we’re ever going to fix American healthcare, we need people like him in Washington able to speak to this.
