To celebrate his 60th birthday earlier this year, my eldest brother bought a case of Fullers Past Masters 1966 Strong Ale and gave us all a bottle. This is wonderful stuff.

Undeniably the most wonderful person to ever pick up a guitar. Robert Smith is a legend. @thecure.com last night were superb. I had tears in my eyes for the first 30 minutes. Such a huge part of my life over the years. Four gigs in 8 days. Time to rest my old bones until The Prodigy in August 🤘🤘🤘

Tonight I’ve been drinking some of my Fullers/Youngs style homebrew of increasing strength. My hubris made me open my late father’s 2020 Fullers Vintage Ale. I am suitably humbled. I thought my beers were pretty good. The Fullers Vintage Ale is light years ahead of them. Absolutely beautiful.

1805 Barclay Perkins Brown Stout from @patto1ro.bsky.social ‘s research. Probably the best beer I’ve ever brewed. 41% French & Jupps brown malt - it looks, smells and tastes amazing. Thanks, Ron! I’m late to the party but really appreciate the effort you put into keeping brewing history alive.

I brewed this wonderful 1923 Courage KKK that @patto1ro.bsky.social shared from their brewing records and it’s amazing. I spent a few hours making the invert sugar. Time well spent. It’s a beautiful beer. I named it The Famous Three Kings (KKK) which I thought was appropriate.
