An interesting observation I also made: Early on this comic's run I got a comment concerned over how my comic would be "too political" for featuring so heavily an openly trans character. Interestingly enough, about equally prominent openly gay character in same story never received such comments.

Things that keep me up at night: Enough people have told me this for me to know it's true, but apparently for some people a shoddily drawn Pokémon comic I made in my twenties was their first introduction to a trans character in narrative that was not a sidenote, but a major focus in the story.

The thing with me never doing things like artfight is that I don't like asking people to draw my characters out of principle. I am only okay with other people drawing my characters if they do it out of their own volition, and not because I or someone else asked for it.

#ArtRepostJuly Day 26. Realistic: "Revonrieskan siesta" ("Sleep in the Sorrels") (2025) My style is a weird mix of stylisation and realism, so it was hard to find anything that fits the prompt "realistic". I guess my fox illustrations are closest thing that counts since I draw my foxes realistic.

The piece is titled "Revonrieskan siesta", roughly translating to "Sleep in the Sorrels". In Finnish wood sorrels are commonly called ketunleipä or revonrieska, both meaning "fox bread".
