constant advice I give to folks in this space is to consume more than just games / games media. read books. watch/read about sports. listen to unfamiliar music. see a movie that isn't an established IP. if your world only holds games, that's the only context you'll be able to see them in.

I'm far from the first person to say this but a fundamental and increasing issue with games media and how we talk about games with Themes is an unavoidable lack of media literacy and/or engagement with forms of art that aren't video games (or nerd media, really).

After 2 years, I finally cast The Fall of Elturel in their proper viewing molds. Smaller numbers for better interior view, and smaller Companion that blocks less of the city. I did a 30mm and 40mm version. These will eventually be for sale! Probably an auction but I haven’t decided yet.
