I actually literally do not think they realize what they've done here. Sonic isn't just a game with fans. It's basically embedded in the fabric of the internet. Since I clicked the link ten minutes ago, two THOUSAND more people joined. And it only has five channels to post in and four moderators.

Between my hype for JoJo Steel Ball Run, watching 2 seasons of Hazbin Hotel, and having a *profound* experience with Amazing Digital Circus, it seems believing that I am immune to the fandoms of terminally online gay zoomers just because I am a 33 year old straight man has been my truest folly.
There's a difference between people born in the Los Angeles area vs people who move here. There's an authenticity that the transplants lack.

This is true. In 2016, I got into an argument with a gay man on a menswear forum. I've since made it my mission to make every man dress gay, thereby destroying his ability to tell who is actually gay and, ultimately, his chances of finding love. I built my social media following to achieve that goal
Dawg im a fucking aucker for retro game collections. Castlevania, Bomberman, whatever tf. But only the big publishers even do that shit anymore. But it used to be that you could get a collection of games as a bundle as soon as like 3-5 years after the most recent game in it came out.
I think because of 2XKO, Riot has guaranteed that no one from the FGC will ever take a game of theres seriously in a meaningful capacity for years to come.
