I have a lot of games I don't play because they're just not my thing. Mostly shooters. I guess, in anticipation, it's going to be GTA6. I have never played a GTA, and I don't plan to start now! They just don't interest me at all. Weirdly, I love the Saints Row games... So maybe I'm just weird.

No hate, no dogpiling, just curious. For me, it's Skyrim. Don't know why, considering it should be exactly my kind of game, but it just didn't click for me.

12) Habitat/Distribution Dragons live all over! My dragons are mostly named after their habitat. Dragons did live on Earth. Nearly every culture on Earth has some concept of a dragon. There's probably some conclusion to be drawn from that, I'm not a folkologist. I just like dragons. 🧵 #Critterary

Test. The Falcons gather representatives from all across Zada to help them make a decision. Zadans are not used to the idea of representatives and speaking for others. It will take some expaining. #WIPSnips

"Look sharp, everyone!" Crystal told them. "We're going to start picking people up now."
And so they did. From all corners of Zada, they came, just as they'd been asked. The mountain forest denizens sent an ancient stag with an enormous rack of antlers. He stepped ponderously into the docking bay, his eyes sweeping the room. He did not speak, but waited patiently for the rest of the council to gather.
From the jungle, they picked up a scarlet macaw. The parrot flapped her way into the docking bay, squawking a greeting to the stag. She paced around, testing the walls with her beak.
The desert-dwellers sent them a camel. She made her way on board with ponderous dignity and stood next to the stag. The two of them nodded to each other in acknowledgment.
Next they picked up the coastal forest representative: a wolf. Jeri recognized him! It was the same wolf who had nearly eaten her during her visit. The wolf spotted her across the room and growled softly before sitting down to wait.
The Zadans of the plains chose a bison to represent them. He shuffled his way on board. It was hard to tell what he was thinking, as his shaggy coat almost completely covered his eyes.
At the savanna, a familiar face waited for them. It was the same elephant matriarch that had waved to Renard during their visit. She marched on board and waved in greeting.
"Nice to see you again, old one," Renard greeted her. "Thank you for coming."
The matriarch nodded and stood next to the camel.
When they stopped by the tundra, a lynx bounded her way on board. She paced the docking bay, rendering her judgment.
Then it was time to collect the representatives from the ocean. When they stopped by the sandbar where they had spoken to the sea dragons, an ancient sea turtle waited for them. They waited patiently while she dragged herself on board. She refused all help.
The inhabitants of the northern sea chose a massive bull seal. He was covered in scars. He flopped his way up the gangway and settled himself nex…

Admit I am sure I've shared this snip before, but whatever! It's a good one. This is the first scene from Renard's perspective. It also shows Speedy's role as "raptor translator," and a bit of Renard and Jenette co-parenting. #WIPsnips

Renard knew he was lucky. Of course he was. He had a mate, a family—the life he hadn't dared to dream of!
Sometimes it was hard to remember that when he woke up to a bunch of rambunctious fox kits chewing on his ears!
"The imps are awake," Jenette mumbled next to him.
"I noticed," he replied.
She chuckled quietly, and he felt a little burst of warmth. He loved it when she laughed.
"All right, I'm awake. And I'm hungry! What's this? A bunch of tasty morsels? Maybe I should eat you all up!" With that, he surged to his feet and scooped up the two rascals chewing on his ears. The kits squealed with delight. The other two ran around the room, screaming in mock terror.
Just then, a reptilian head peeked into the room. "Everything all right in here?"
"Uncle Speedy!" the remaining kits shrieked. They ran over to the Gallimimus, demanding to be picked up. Speedy obliged, letting them climb on his back. "Killer asked me to make sure you were okay."
Renard raised an eyebrow at him. "She said that?"
"Well, no," the Gallimimus admitted. "What she said was, 'Ugh, how many cats are they killing in there?' which in Killer-speak means 'Hey, could you check on them to make sure they're all right?' So, now I've done that and she'll be relieved."
Renard snorted a laugh. "I'm sure she will. Here!" he swung the two imps in his arms. "You guys are getting heavy! Let's get you some breakfast and see if Captain Green responded yet."
Jenette took one of the kits as they exited the room, giving Renard a quick smile. Renard winked at her.

Capacity Vibing again! Substituting "full." The Falcons discuss strategy. How can they get input from a planet full of people when most of them don't have centralized rulers or governments? People who are fiercely independent and also don't trust humans. #FantasyIndiesAugust

The Falcons gathered around the table while the hellions chased each other around the room. Oryn settled himself, lifting one hand out of the way when Maddie ran under him.
"So, what happened?" he asked. "I heard there was a bit of a commotion here this morning."
"Jeri faced down Rock-Head."
Oryn's jaw dropped. "What? How?"
Jeri was baffled. "Huh? Who's Rock-Head?"
"The dragon from before was Throckmorten, the Head Scholar," Crystal explained. "We call him Morten for short, but he has a certain reputation..."
"So most people call him Rock-Head," Oryn finished.
"He's Oryn's old boss, by the way," Trylok clarified. "Oryn used to be in the Scholar's Wing before he was made Head Engineer."
"Yes, because we didn't have an Engineering Wing!"
“Well, anyway, I have an idea. And I wanted to run it by all of you.” Crystal’s tail twitched as one of the hellions batted it. She tried to ignore it. “As I mentioned, I don’t feel comfortable deciding anything for the whole planet, when it comes to the Alliance. And I’m sure the rest of you don’t either. Our people trust us, but that trust only extends so far.”
“I agree,” Renard said. “And even during the war, we still asked for others’ input.”
“Quite. And the other issue is we’re negotiating with humans.” The dragon glanced over at Jeri. “To be frank, their mistrust is entirely justified. We ignore that at our peril.”
“So we have to do two things,” Jenette summarized. “We have to somehow get the input, and blessing, of an entire planet full of people without going crazy, and get them to agree to work with humans.”
“Oh, is that all? I thought this was going to be hard,” Killer snorted.
