i was curious whether china had capital punishment so i went to wikipedia and the article had this amazing ming dynasty painting depicting an execution...i just love the people having tea and snacks in the window while an execution goes down on the street. plus the guy holding his own head lol

a ming dynasty painting. the scene depicts soldiers on the street committing a mass slaughter of prisoners with swords. civilians are watching. in the house above there are two windows. in one is a person leaning over the watch. in the other is two people sitting at a table. in the background above the house, a decapitated prisoner holds his own head. above that, two more prisoners are being led to slaughter.

i really don't understand the appeal of using AI for creative writing. what's the point? it takes all the fun out of it?? creative writing is such a process and the point of it, to me at least, *is* the process and how satisfying it is to figure out a story and research it and everything

sometimes i feel like i'm living in an alternate universe when i see people talking like, "how do you NOT use ai?" i dunno? i've never used it? i've never even been tempted to use it. i turned off the ai summary on my search engine and i don't use it for writing literally anything. it's not hard
