Welcome to my world. I talk about things I like, and I really like video games.
Finished Dragon Hopper! Neat little platformer and probably the Virtual Boy's best game... shame it was late by three decades. Big shock right at the end of it: this game was actually the directorial debut of Ryota Kawade (known for the first three Paper Mario games)
Live A Live is probably still my favorite HD-2D game. I hadn't played the original so I didn't care it was a remake. Just an awesome game
Finished Splatoon Raiders. This series has a history of having great final bosses and this one didn't disappoint. Fantastic game, must-play for Switch 2 owners
Only just built the arcade in Splatoon Raiders. Had no idea that was in there. Cool as heck
Absolute garbage
"We’re going to cautiously move this forward" - Sony says it hears the PlayStation disc backlash but will continue its plans. CFO Lin Tao said its focus was on trying to "engage the gamers" in "the future digital ecosystem". www.videogameschronicle.com/news/were-go...
Hironobu Kageyama making songs for Dragon Ball again after 15+ years is huge. This is the sauce the franchise has been missing

Splatoon Raiders feels a little bit different from your typical Splatoon campaign. More combat and less platforming. Music is not as catchy. Not my preference but I think that's by design. I'm still fairly early so curious to see how it ends up.
Sorry but I never play as the Inklings in Splatoon anymore. Octolings are just cooler
I think the clearest evidence of their long-term strategy is the Switch 2 lineup. If they only cared about opportunity cost they wouldn't have put the 3D Mario team on DK or the Smash director on Air Riders. It's why they have the variety they do. Not to mention staff retention in spite of failures.
Goddamn
My take is that if you introduce stuff like this you straight-up have no respect for the medium

I'll shut up soon, but everyone who hasn't needs to get with Yoshi & the Mysterious Book. It's one of the most interesting games Nintendo has put out in years, up there in the conversation with ToTK and Bananza - it's a game made up only of the chewy fun bits, no filler all killer
Tsunku declined offers for working on similar games with others because he always believed a new Rhythm Heaven game with Nintendo would happen. The Sep. issue of Nintendo Dream includes an in-depth dev interview re: Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (img 1 shows the interviewees; img 2 the clay models for development). • Tezuka was involved in the initial phase. Later he was tied up with SMB Wonder, so Nogami took over the Producer role. 1/
