I did the sponsored walks to raise money so she could go private to get the kidney removed as I feared she would die waiting on NHS Grampian to do it. Thankfuly her kidney is now removed, but we should never have been put through such a horrendous ordeal to begin with.
Nearly 3 years following Sepsis, caused by a massive infected kidney Heather was left in absolute agony and barely able to walk by NHS Grampian. The Kidney (stage 3 Chronic Kidney disease) should have been removed within 6 months of diagnosis, not nearly 3 years.
