Got the dry layout done on my table, finally! I'll work on the stand while I look at it and decide if it's done, then glue it all down and start on the arduous sanding and finishing process.

Are there any studies that look at if targeted marketing via personal data sales actually works? Because my reaction to it is that it is creepy and intrusive and shows a deep disrespect to me as a person, so I will never buy the products. I cannot be the only one.
Spokane Washington is threatened by multiple wildfires. Winds are sustained at 20-30mph with gusts at 50mph. The largest fire has jumped the Spokane River and neighborhoods are burning. Traffic is slow as people evacuate. It’s horrific. Other areas in Oregon and Washington are under high fire danger
Today's further shop update: much progress made on my table, and a little arrangement of test samples to see what it's going to look like when done! The center will be layered with purpleheart stripes.
Shop workshop updates. My partner needed an upgrade to her 12 year old Ikea laptop table, so I made a template from it, then made a jig to increase the size, added a cupholder, and stained it to her favorite combo of stains.
Had an interview today, I think it went well. They said they'll be making a decision by tomorrow and let me know either way.
Shop projects update: Making myself a couch side table, shaped like a Superman logo with a Z instead of the S. Woods: Basswood, Padauk, Purpleheart.

I've never been well off enough to see movies in theater that I don't think I'll enjoy, so I think I have to say Dark Knight Rises. And I wasn't mad, just irritated at the waste of my time and money. They managed to make Batman boring, great job.
