The attitude of german companies regarding data is quite baffling and schizophrenic. On the one hand, ANY kind of data is considered way too valuable to ever give out, on the other hand, tons of data is considered irrelevant and uninteresting and never saved. Make up your mind people.

Very good summary on a matter that was incredibly out of proportion and most likely just from start to finish tragic. It's hard to see how this could not have been handled magnitudes better at multiple points along the timeline.
