Onnyks has recently updated their Super Metroid ROM hack 'Cryogenesis' to v2.0.4! The first version was originally created for a streaming contest and has since been expanded on. The hack has a focus on atmospheric storytelling and detailed visuals, building an entirely new environment for Samus.

When I conducted the Niitani San interview on Friday, I tried a few new things. Along with recording the interview from my desktop, I also filmed the entire thing from a perspective that would show us both conversing in real time. It’s going to be fun to play around with.

Well, Niitani San and I reunited after 9 years and did a brand new interview! We talked for nearly 2 hours about his new game Double Tower but also much more about classic game development and the history of Compile game studios. I can’t wait to share it!!

Me on a Zoom call with myself testing out this new translation tech I'll be using to converse with Niitani San in our next interview. It's pretty wild. He'll be able to hear me speaking Japanese in my own voice, and I will be able to read what he is saying translated to English on my screen 🤯
