I played through my solo adventure yesterday in about 30-40 minutes. It was really fun!! Even though I wrote it, I was surprised and delighted. I used dice, pencils, and Cairn Barebones Editions (at the park). Play report: I died, but the captive I was trying to rescue escaped!!

The Baron’s Grip is in an art show! (@ the Visual Arts Center in Richmond). If you’re in town, go take a flip thru! The whole staff show is excellent as well. I had to make rapid-fire attempts to explain what a ttrpg adventure module is, to several people 🥲.

This isn’t exactly in spirit of the post chain, but the one thing I’ll be forever grateful for with my time making RPG stuff is the opportunity to work with incredible artists. This creepy crawly comes from the back cover of Tangled, which I still think is one of the slickest OSE zines out there.

Is there a name for the mechanic/requirement of an atmospheric item being supplied from outside an RPG that affects it? Like Under The Autumn Strangely using the playlist for prompts, Orbital Blues' character theme song rule, 10 Candles' link between the IRL/game deepening darkness as candles go out
