Princeton PhD students forced to quit by former advisor, Sabine Kastner, and department leadership after reporting Kastner’s academic misconduct. Multiple former lab members have now formally reported the matter. It involves ongoing NIH grants of over $20m.

🚨 🧠 We have a new preprint out where we studied which brain networks are engaged during mental imagery and self-generated thought. We used a precision fMRI approach along with multidimensional experience sampling (mDES) to get trialwise self-reports from each participant about what they imagined.

My first paper w/ @zitonglu.bsky.social & @juliedgolomb.bsky.social! Our study shows that object identity judgments for a moving object are biased by both same exact location and predictable trajectories, with object-location binding remaining primarily retinotopic—even after one saccade.
