one thing you gain from reading in detail about the actual operations of a presidential administration is a recognition that even the most competent and dedicated political staff with the best leadership struggles to bend the federal bureaucracy in its direction
elon/vivek will slash tons of civil service jobs and try to replace them with chatbots. he'll make a ton of money on gov service contracts while pushing out anyone who doesn't immediately fall in line. there won't be any meaningful accountability measures, so things will just coast (poorly) downhill
