Underrated accurate take Personally I didn’t do law at uni because a career guidance counsellor saw my projected school leaver score and said ‘oh you’ll do law’ Ha 98.4/100, and did an arts degree with an entry level of 65 because fuck all of you* *not you, obviously, you’re a cool bean

Demand avoidance is funny because it means some random portion of your population will be *literally* unable to take authority, of any kind, seriously. Like you've got a *guaranteed* random portion of any group that is hardwired to go fuck you I won't do what you tell me

Hey look, my two interests! You can get out of here with your Tom Ford, you oud, and ESPECIALLY your Tom Ford oud. Otherwise some solid choices! Good to see the paper perfume getting a shot. I also have grudging (technical) respect for ‘not a perfume, which is straight fake ambergris.

first time seeing one of these four-quadrant charts that i actually enjoyed. not sure if it's a "bisexual perfume," but i really enjoy carlen parfums's "butch femme," which smells like pho (the vietnamese soup) substack.com/home/post/p-...

A screenshot of a Substack post. It says:

"the tasteful twink

i surveyed 12,000 bisexuals—these are the most bisexual perfumes

The notoriously neurotic sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw once described bisexuality as a layover on the way to Gaytown. “When did the sexes get all confused?” she lamented after a bi boy sent her into a self-righteous straight girl spiral. Such a sentiment would surely land Carrie in public relations purgatory today, but this was the early aughts, when sexual fluidity was a foreign concept to everyone except Samantha Jones and every bottle of perfume was assigned a sex at birth."

Gang - You may hear more about the ‘grandparents’ rights movement. It might sound reasonable at first. Be assured: everyone in this movement (and it is a movement) is a perpetrator of child abuse. There are no exceptions: grandparents with legitimate problems who really care leave immediately.

Gov. nominee Byron Donalds promises a Florida Republican voter "his word" that he will work on a 'grandparents' rights' law so her daughter stops estranging her

@trufelman.bsky.social hey hey! Absolutely loved the second hand clothes episode. You gotta be collecting impact metrics, right? If yes please tell the real real that they sure as hell achieved brand awareness with me, I’m slap bang in the middle of their target market and I’m an all but guaranteed/

Optimist: the cup is half full Pessimist: the cup is half empty Engineer: it depends on the starting state of the cup Me: listen, you fools, this is a question with a literal answer, a real one, IT LITERALLY DEPENDS ON THE STARTING STATE OF THE CUP

Optimist: The cup is half full Pessimist: The cup is half empty Science Fiction Writer: The cup is a crystalline super computer and the liquid is hyperintelligent, they want to know why humanity should be allowed to exist, you have 30 minutes to respond and the answer must be danced by a cat

[Mum has just told me about one neighbour I know who died, and one I didn't who was murdered] Mum: 'Oh and there's another piece of news-' Me: 'Don't tell me - another person died!' That was in fact the news. Another person I knew had also died. Life update, never making a dark little joke again

GUYS My delivery of coathangers is arriving TODAY I am going to become a new kind of person. A better kind of person. A person with MATCHING COAT HANGERS

Well I for one have had my trust in the NACC fully restored. No questions left for me, not a one. Seriously though - for real - do the folk at the NACC not understand how public trust works? It's not an unknown area, we have a pretty solid idea of how building trust is done and this isn't it
