I've seen some artists comparing the use of AI to rape and... listen I'm an AI hater, but I'm also a rape survivor and it makes me fcking sick. Please stop. Thank you and fuck off.

The best and most meaningful growth of my life has almost always come from doing things that are at least a little uncomfortable or a little scary. I think this is true for relationships too. If you try your hardest to make nobody mad at you, you will end up trying to please bad people.

Discomfort is an essential part of growth and wouldn’t it be so embarrassing to be the exact same person thirty years from now, in a totally different world, because you were so averse to discomfort?

Once you start noticing how the incapacity to handle discomfort affects how people live their lives it's actually pretty shocking how it ruins pretty much every conceivable aspect of existence. Interpersonal relationships, romantic and platonic. Career and education opportunities. Your politics Your willingness to go anywhere. The kind of food you eat. The kind of art you expose yourself to and your ability to read it. It's never just one thing, it touches everything, and once you notice it it's like suddenly being able to see germs or something. Just this horrific catastrophe people look at you askance for screaming about. As I grow older and see what became of my friends and peers who could not learn to handle discomfort, the more I'm like. This is a genuine societal issue

Increasing my discomfort tolerance has also been one of the greatest assets to improving my mental health.

do not abandon your streamers. your time watching is more valuable to most streamers than anything else, if you don't want to give money to twitch you don't have to. look for your streamers alternative support methods. if you want them to make content, they need you there.

the HOURS i spend every day giving a fuck about what others might think before i hit post/reply. Editing my txt, my art so I seem approachable, measured, or appropriate. FUCK IT. people talk shit anyway. i'm not appropriate. i'll never be appropriate.

Thanks for speaking up with us too, it's not just a feel-good thing. Your voice stops bad legislation and makes puritan harassers think twice. I'm lucky to be surrounded by role models and supporters 😽

People will mention Marx to explain why it's ok to exploit artists and pretend to ignore how being an artist used to be accessible to nobles only back then while it's a below minimum wage exploitation of someone's time and work by a big corporation even when you're a freelance nowaday.

We all have the power to change someone's day, sometimes life, for the worst or for the best and it's up to us to use that power wisely. Especially in a world designed to make you feel hopeless and cruel, being kind to someone, sharing something passionate instead of hate, these are strength

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...
