Kitty Furniture

Knitter, spinner, reader, baker, nerd. Was socially awkward now completely feral. I sometimes give cupcakes to strangers. Childless cat lady. Infrequent blogger at https://zuzusunshine.blogspot.com/ Northeast Ohio. she/her

Picked Zoey up from between my feet, as I needed more coffee and to do some work. Put her on my chest, usually she'd bolt. She decided that yeah, it can be snuggle time, actually, so we cuddled for several minutes. I love my kitten even if I have a caffeine headache.

Just had to deal with multi factor authentication. One of the options to text a code was not my number. Is this a new thing where they put up something random because the owner of the account will pick the correct number? Or should I be worried that a random number is associated with my account?

Box from IKEA was delivered. It was in terrible shape, smashed and with big holes. Surprisingly, only one small item ($2) was missing. I hope whomever found my tiny red panda enjoys it. Zoey has claimed hers.

Zoey's Other Human is out tonight, so I had 🍆 for dinner. I want to wash my hands so I can knit, but cat. Thinking about knitting something for Levar Burton, wondering if he'd appreciate something made of yarn from Barbara Kingsolver's sheep. My old phone now belongs to Zoey.

Our internet is still out. Work is still waiting for my project, because it's tough to work on a tiny laptop in the library vs on a desktop with two good-sized monitors. I am told that they are pulling cable in our neighborhood, so whomever broke our internet did a great job of it.

Tonight's ADHD spiral: I am exhausted and have a ton of work to do but I have two subscription notebooks, I should write an essay comparing them. Oh! I need to take my drugs. Wait, I'm missing my flaxseed oil. I know I have a new bottle of that, where is it?

Two notebooks and pens. The one on the left is purple and from Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures, the one on the right is blue and embossed with the logo of the William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage series by Cuyahoga County Public Library.

Sitting outside a medical building, there's a car that keeps starting and stopping without moving, and I really want to ask if it's a problem with the car or the person inside. (It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the temperature is good, much nicer out here than in a waiting room.)

Decided to sit outside because it's October and Ohio and I don't know how many more days this will be an option, and wow is it loud. Cicadas and water, groovy. Tornado sirens? Fine, it's just a test. Trains, lawn equipment, unnecessarily loud vehicles. Kinda want to go in and take a nap.

Got the annual vaccines last night, so expect today to be full of naps and knitting. Arms sore. Keep forgetting to mention that we have (what looks to me to be) a funnel web spider hanging out in our window. I haven't tried to get better photos because I don't want to scare our new tenant away.

Me: I will be SO, SO HAPPY when this blanket is done. I can knit some quick projects! Hats! Cowls! Near-instant gratification! Also me: ooohhhh, this 1000 yard gradient skein is gorgeous, maybe that should be my next project.
