Keep hearing devs say that they only use ai for "pre-concept art" There is no pre-concept art. There is concept art. That's where the idea starts. With the concept. You're using ai for concept art.

Lil doodle cos we found out in our session the other day that Vervain is 1/4 dragon. Like, pact with a dragon in his distant ancestry? Nah. grandmas straight up an ancient bronze dragon. 👀

Vervain, a harlequin rabbit humanoid, lounges casually in the air with his arms and legs crossed. He has a long bronze and blue dragon tail, which gives him the ability to float, and two antler-like, blue horns on his head.

people using that ghibli style ripoff ai gives me so much second hand embarrassment....... it's not "art", it's the equivalent of putting snapchat dog face filter on your photos at best 😶

old lady at local market sells the best apples i've ever had and now any other taste bad to me, i can't find the same peak anywhere else, i guess once i move out i'll just stop eating apples because what's the point if it's not Them

This is the single most important advice any creative person needs to hear. There are of course factors such as financial insecurity or mental and physical impediments (spoons ≠ motivation even though people will tell you they are the same) but when you can, do, whether you feel inspired or not.

A big misconception is that you need to be motivated to get rolling.
You don't.
Research: Motivation often FOLLOWS action, not the other way around.
In Practice: You don't need to feel good to get going; you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good.

my roommate is such a contrarian you can repreat her own opinions to her, and sometimes she'll forget she said that and will go against her own words out of habit. it's like a fun little game
