- Social media brain rot where we've failed to see that we are human beings connected to other unique human beings and therefore, just because something doesn't reflect my experience, it doesn't mean it's wrong or "bad" or something you can't still read/watch/play, etc.
These are not fully formed ideas but what I am sensing is a toxic combination of: - So few people reading quality fiction where you have to put yourself in someone else's shoes & actually pay attention, rather than reading passively. This results in lacking basic reading skills.
I wish RTing people with a comment didn’t have such a belligerent connotation because sometimes you just want to riff without telling a random person minding their own business to eat shit and go fuck themselves.
Funny edit aside, this was always what stuck in my mind about Goat in the Shell. The transhumanism, I got a real kick out of seeing the human body go beyond what it was born to do especially as someone who felt like my body wasn't right.
