I know universities in the UK are underfunded, but paying extra for an exam resit, really? I would have thought administering exams is core business, not an optional extra. I grumble but can afford it, but not everyone is in that position. What if you have to resit an exam for no fault of your own?
Ah, so us immigrants are still hated by the new government.

The Netherlands has been hostile to dual citizenship since 1893. Most Dutch citizens don't care. A Nobel prize winner no longer Dutch, shoulder shrug. Thousands (probably tens of thousands) ex-Dutch stranded abroad, their fault. But don't touch their favourite football team.. 1/5 paspoortgate.nl

If you have a Royal Family, you have deference. If you have a Royal Family, you have a class system. If you have a RF, you essentially say, "These people are better than everyone else by dint of birth & should maintain enormous influence, wealth and power." Why would anyone want that at all?
