mamdani's social media: NYC, today is a monumental day. I've slain Gorlax the Spurious, the beast who lived in the sewers and ate children and small dogs. every conservative thinkpiece article: Slaying Gorlax the Spurious might *sound* appealing, but what if you don't have children or small dogs?

I offered to take a neighbor's puppy for a lap around the block. The pup actually took ME for a run. 😂 It seems that the puppy pulling on my arm caused Garmin to enact an (unwanted) emergency alert. It cancelled my run as I was frantically trying to cancel the alert.

Worker rights, a living wage, healthcare, and safe and sanitary conditions in the field keep us all healthy. Outbreaks happen when humans are treated poorly.

Sharp look at the far-right pastor whose "Government shouldn't help the poor" sermons lie at the historical core of Taylor Farms. Bonus anti-union garbage included, of course. religiondispatches.org/2026/07/22/l... (Also includes a nod to @kevinmkruse.bsky.social's book on corporate Christianity.)

Many Americans appear to have simply accepted the indefinite military occupation of our capital, in peacetime, American soldiers deployed against Americans. I do not and never will. It is the opposite of Conservative, the opposite of patriotic, and the opposite of democracy.

This morning. Yes, my city is STILL occupied by roving military fireteams, for no reason whatsoever. The fact that the president has personally ordered this occupation to continue indefinitely/permanently, and self-styled Conservatives say nothing, makes it more of a poisonous outrage—not less.
