@ People who stream Gameboy games on Bizhawk (so mostly Archipelago streamers): please, PLEASE set Config > Speed/Skip > Audio Throttle (or at least use the SameBoy core), so the music doesn't continuously switch between 2 different tunings, in a way that drives ME, specifically, crazy.

Happy pokemon mystery dungeon day ( #PMDday ) I was trying to arrange a handful of pmd tracks in the style of Bartok's Night Music, but I ran out of cohesion right after doing Dark Hill; plus I've been melting in the heatwave.

Its really difficult for me to live in a world where Im confronted with AI generated music and art everyday of my life, online and offline. I've always been stuck in the past when it comes to my interests and media I enjoy (perhaps to a detriment) and genAI has just encouraged these behaviors.

Microsoft had $80 billion to piss up a wall on AI investment, and I don't want this fact lost when we're talking about studio closures, they had obscene amounts of money to throw at slop machines.

Let's be 100% clear on this, Microsoft is investing $80 Billion in AI. This is not conjecture or speculation, it is plainly in their own words back in January this year, they gutted a profitable games division because AI is the new shiny bauble. blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issue...
