Every so often, I'll print out and bind the ttRPG booklets I write.

He/Him | Definitely Not Young Best known for his YouTube channel about ttRPGs Also does a lot of writing and graphic design for ttRPGs Basically, ttRPGs are pretty much my life; but I do enjoy smearing ink on paper as I quaff entirely too much coffee.
October 5 2000, Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber debuted on the N64 in the Americas! Well respected Japanese dark fantasy artist Toshiaki Kato was commissioned to create the key character art used both on the cover of the Japanese release and the in game character portraits!

New Blog Post: Why I Love Unfair Traps in Arcade Games People usually dislike hard memo traps in arcade games, or at best think they're "not that bad". I love them, though, and I think arcade games would be worse without them. Here's why: duckberet.com/blog/i-like-... (game: Violent Storm)
you already know (after some delay) what's up (steam sale rec thread is what's up) as always, i focus primarily on older, obscure, or just plain weirder games, as big name titles don't tend to need the help. with that said, onwards!

This thread enunciates why I decided my big passion project needed to be its own game, as opposed to a third party source book for some other game. Even if it dooms my creation to obscurity. (It may have already been so, truth be told.)
I was looking at a "Community Content" program on DriveThruRPG and it provoked some thoughts on copyright and licenses and who community content programs are for, because I don't think most of them are FOR third-party and homebrew publishers.
Found an indie ttRPG project. German, but also with an English release. (Aaron's a sucker for multi-lingual games. Especially if they're in at least two of his languages.) ...then saw that they used AI for their images. ...dropped. But I appreciate they were up front about it, at least.
New update to my main website. I added some new worksheets. As well as a new ttRPG sourcebook. (And updated another one that had some pretty bad typos.) Check it out. Or don't. rofl

Agent 64 is a clever game. It has an aim assist feature like the game it draws inspiration from. So the ultimate weapon you find? It has properties that make *worse* if you rely on the aim assist; forcing you to change your strategy to use it effectively!
ttRPG Hot Take: If your character's backstory can't be summed up in 5 sentences or less, it's too long.

...and I'm finally done with Shadowrun 5e's Street Grimoire. My final video on that subject, is rendered and uploaded. ...I can finally wash my hands of this wretched book, and discuss things I actually like now.
Something something, Shadowrun 5e Street Grimoire. Love what's in the book. DID NOT LIKE READING IT NOR MAKING SENSE OF IT First video in a set of three where I lay out the sense I *was* able to make of it. #ttrpg

I like to judge ttRPGs by how fun their wrestling mechanics are.
Just because I managed to survive three ad-pocalypses, doesn't mean I'm not pissed off that it keeps happening.
