41 years old, heavyweight class, crazy reach, good ground game. Translator on How Do We Relationship, Spider-Man: Kizuna, Like A Butterfly, and many more manga. I live ever in hope, so maybe it happens today...

I agree with Medicine. In the 70s people often dropped dead of heart attacks at the ages of 40-50 for mysterious reasons, only to find that some combination of secondhand smoke, undiagnosed sleep apnea or heart disease or what have you. There is a lot more treatment, and that's how I stay alive!

Medicine. Medicine has grown by leaps and bounds. You cannot introduce vaccines that crater cancer rates, cure AIDS, and cure sickle cell, and then tell me things have only gotten worse. Also: Food. To a HUGE degree. I eat what I once considered rare treats every day, now.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

One day I'm gonna get another publishing job and then they're going to fire me because I know there's going to be a manga where I put down both Interspecies Reviewers AND Heterogenia Linguistico as comparable titles. The closest I can think of rn is Nanimo Wakaranai, where all the text is cypher.

It is 2006. I am 22. The US is mired in a costly Forever War. A predictable historic market collapse looms. I do not have health insurance. It is 2026. I am 42. The US is mired in a costly Forever War. A predictable historic market collapse looms. I do not have health insurance.

Someone you don't know, loftily: Wow you force yourself to do work every day on your creative projects? Well I don't and all my friends and family say it's great so.

Saw a Jacob Frey ad for Angie Craig on Instagram, every comment was like "great video promoting Peggy Flanagan" which is funny cos that's basically what I said when I saw the ad on tv lol

11: Angel Densetsu A pure-hearted and very sweet young man who just wants to do good has an appearance that makes everybody afraid of him and constantly get the wrong idea about him. He still does his best despite it all. Truly a good kid.

Every six months or so I think about the scene in Space Jam where a cool butch schools Charles Barkley after his basketball skills are stolen and she's like "you're not Charles Barkley, cos you suck" and then she tells him to begone. I never get the opportunity to tell someone to begone.

I think it's great how the Mummy Returns managed to keep their mildly annoying child character from being too annoying by giving him useful things to do and also by actively putting him in scenes with characters who are actively annoyed by him and making it really funny.
