Fable has pioneered what I like to call chartslop (a subset of datavizslop). this example from prompting freeform analysis ("do whatever you like next") when it'd already begun smuggling seafaring metaphors into dry predictive modelling discussion. dazzlingly beautiful, communicates next to nothing

masterclass in the genre of dazzling dataviz slopui. every element screams for attention but none of them manage to convey much of anything with clarity because that's not the point, the point is to give you a visceral impression that a deluge of valuable information is being valuably processed

"diffusing the tension" is a curious malapropism that manages to achieve the short-term goal of the original via unnecessarily adversarial longterm contamination. anyway what else is like this?

today I discovered someone from a neolab wanted to engage my services making a promo video maybe, but due to the idiosyncrasies of how twitter works all this happened three months ago because I never received notification of those dm requests. rip professional videographer abeliansoup, 2026-2026

after their second failed attempt, I’m pleased to announce I have thwarted the cowardly plot on my life by the traitors Gaius Cassius Arcanovirus and Marcus Junius Bronchitis. I’m back and have missed you all. what’d I miss?

audio reactivity tests with ASCII fluid sim. going to take a lot of work to tune emitters and parameters so it actually looks good.

Claude has inadvertently built something a little too doxxy I fear: timezone inference from your posting naturally history works too well (mine here). I'll remove this bit, thoughts on keeping posting hours? the data is all "onchain" but surfacing it is still a choice ofc..

I find something about this graph immensely funny "yeah it's an 80 year old open problem, but we wanted to bench on it to see how many instances would solve it independently" overnight, from an ineffable, rarefied delight of the mind to a mere benchmaxxing engineering problem so it goes

It's no mandate of heaven, but having "Read the proof↗️" has a few mandate particles on it. Imagine what math-mythos could find out

my account may be shadowbanned on X because a user mistakenly reported it, tried to close the case but was told "sir this is X the longpost incineration app, to close this report the account reported must contact us and report themselves being not fraudulent". such a beautiful platform.
