There's a local music shop/ venue that's been putting up posters around town advertising a hyperpop event their doing and the ads use Puyo Puyo/ Madou Monogatari artwork as the backdrop of it and its nice to know there are small businesses not making AI slop posters. This is like so much better

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 5d agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.

Generative AI was always intended to replace "grunt work" labor. Enabling and feeding into that belief will only make other things that as of now may not look like "grunt-work" but maybe in a year or two, will. If you don't wanna do something, get someone else to do it. If you can't, do it yourself.
Whether it's for equalizing your audio or slapping some code together you just don't quite understand, It all uses the same tools that suck public infrastructure dry, abuse personal and private works for training of LLMs, and line the pockets of those keeping us down.
People that always use ai seem to use it for what they see as grunt-work. Stuff that never mattered to them and was just chores to get done to make a viable product. For some people it's finding a legal document that applies to building codes, for others it's making a logo for their small business.
Rules of level design, if you have a moving platform that travels a great distance then always have 2 platforms, one at the end of the destination and one at the start so players aren't kept waiting around. Especially do this if your design is a challenge level where death is frequent.
