Lifting my chin up high for this dramatic urban canyon look! Love how the old brick dances with the rigid glass tower. B&W makes those lines pop against the clouds. #BlackAndWhite #Architecture #UrbanLines #WormseyeView #StreetPhotography
What a delightful getaway. I didn't talk to another human face to face for about 36 hours which was honestly kind of disappointing but I had a whole island basically to myself. Didn't even wear clothes half the time. #camping #motosky #hiking #apostleislands #nationalparks

There are some wonderful special effect moments, but they don’t involve the pods. A scene where Ray wanders through the remains of an airplane crash is somber and impressive, and there is an unforgettable image of a train, every coach on fire, roaring through a station.
If you’re left-handed, you’re in good company. While lefties only account for 10% of the population, they’re overrepresented among U.S. presidents, famous artists and musicians, and top athletes. But why is that? Tune in to The Quanta Podcast to find out: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/w...
Our marsh mallow has done great this year. No leaf miners at all. Maybe it was all the fertilizer? #Boston #photography

New: Police in Wisconsin used Flock to create a pretext to search a man's car for weed. Their justification? He drove from Wisconsin to Michigan, a “known source state for marijuana as it is legal there,” and Flock showed he "travels to Michigan frequently." www.404media.co/cops-used-fl...
War of the Worlds (1953) is one of the quintessential science fiction films from the Fifties. This film keeps the spirit of the book intact and makes the film an innovative, intelligent, and evocative film that tries to get one thinking about alien invaders and their intentions.
Assholes who make fun of people eulogizing their dogs: There aren't many places for folks to do that, and it's a big moment in some people's lives they weren't exactly ready for. So shut the hell up and let them do it.
The War of the Worlds owes its greatest debt to producer George Pal. He knew how to put films like this together and was a driving force in the film's innovative and unique special effects. Who could forget those bright green Martian ships? It won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

More cops have been arrested for using flock cameras to stalk women than there are transgender athletes in youth sports. Post Anything Here: interactink.vercel.app
Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.
Lone Star (1996) dir. John Sayles 🎬 Powerful and stylish noir-western with an excellent cast that has a lot to say about racism and the abuse of power. #NowWatching #filmsky #moviesky
