At first I was amazed to see that Canadian gas prices maven Dan McTeague had blocked me in Muskland, since I don't own a car and pay little attention to gas prices. But some looking shows I once caught him propagating the Putin lie-of-the-day about former PM Trudeau making people eat cockroaches.

#StillDoinCDs The 10th anniversary of a classic party & date-night album like Bright Light Bright Light’s 2016 “Choreography” requires a celebration, with remix tributes and unreleased trax from the day. With Rod’s biggest single “Into the Night” in 5 versions over 3 CDs.

Cover shows 30-something Rod Thomas with reddish moustache & close trimmed but not buzzed hair crouching in black on the dance floor, with rainbow reflections on his pant legs and a spark travelling in a vertically oriented circle around him leaving a rainbow light trail. Included hand-signed poster photo showw Rod kneeling on the dance floor, facing toward us, in a way that greatly expands the rainbow reflection on his right pant leg with some extension around the inseam line of his left.

#StillDoinCDs Besides wowing us with a great title, “So Gay. So Dramatic.” (2021) by Bright Light Bright Light also brings us a shockingly strong collection of songs that have been playing wallflower at the club as EP tracks or B-sides. Great variety of strong emotional moves; interesting collabs.

#StillDoinCDs Third album “Learning to Crawl” (1984) was the Pretenders recording that I got on vinyl in the day, & I can’t rule out musical Stockholm syndrome (it captured me) making me still call it a full-out masterpiece today. I’m back on its chain gang (lyrics of its top hit).

Four young 20s-30s band members, one female, are seen from above standing on an outdoor plaza paved with concrete slabs. They’re all wearing black outfits except one guy has a tasteful blue-bluegreen shirt on under his black suit jacket.

#StillDoinCDs Pretenders II, from 1981, was the last hurrah of 2 band members who died of drug-related causes after its release, but lead singer Chrissie Hynde was in top form then & later. This album made #1 in New Zealand & #9 in Canada. Top single: Kinks frontman Ray Davies’ “I Go to Sleep.”

The 4 band members stand partially spotlit in a darkened room, seen from the midriff up. The 30 year old Chrissie Hynde on the left has a white suit jacket and a shirt with white ruffles going up to the collar. The other members, 3 young males, stand to her right wearing various dark jackets, looking somewhat cool and posh.

News that the 2 Black Storks were still at Hemley this morning a message i found irresistible so got there and 1 showed distantly in a muddy creek before taking off joining the 2nd bird before gaining height and crossing the River Deben

There is so much day-to-day coordination in this campaign of lies, rolled out around the 'Fauci diary' misrepresentations in a move reminiscent of the 'Hunter's laptop' caper, that parsimony suggests there's a psychological operations strategist behind it all - nationality yet to be determined.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Here comes another thread covering all things Ukraine (and Russia) Day 1622 of the war on freedom, democracy, culture, a nation and its people. Those long range strikes are surely starting to hurt Russia. Let's catch up:
