If Politico is reporting it, it's to harm progressives. If Axios is reporting it, it's to harm progressives. If The Hill is reporting it, it's to harm progressives. Try to keep up.

Routine reminder that Bhattacharya is an economics researcher who has never practiced medicine and whose best known publication is overtly fraudulent. He has never done infectious disease research and has never treated a single virus or infection in his entire career. He’s likely never seen measles.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · 2w ago

NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya defends measles on Fox News and condemns Gov. Shapiro for "playing this out over the airwaves for political purposes, just like what happened during covid. And this is why there's such deep distrust in public health."

Once you notice this, it's the most obvious double standard in the political press. Democrats have to answer for the smallest voice even if it has no actual tie to them, but Republicans never have to answer for the insanely racist billionaire donor driving their entire party.

Democrats who have had absolutely nothing to do with Hasan Piker will be hounded about him, while Republicans who are directly benefitting from Musk funding will be asked about him in the most generic "money in politics" way, if at all.

I have tried *really* hard to stay out of the LA mayoral race because A) I live in West Hollywood and can’t vote in it, and B) Bass has often been the victim of misogynoir in local press and online. But shit like this doesn’t do her any favors when a main criticism has been about her transparency.

Justin Szlasa was “trying to implement basic systems of data and financial management that a billion-dollar agency desperately needed.” When asked why she recommended removing Szlasa, Mayor Karen Bass’ appointee Stephanie Graves said it was her “prerogative” and did not explain her reasoning.

I have been very clear that multiple grounds exist to impeach Pete Hegseth; today, for instance, we have learned he is trying to use an inter-agency agreement to siphon off key inter-agency funds from NIH. He is a constitutional black hole and if the President won’t fire, Congress should.

I don’t seriously expect the White House to care, but I’m still struck by the bipartisan condemnations of Pete Hegseth: It’s just not normal for lawmakers from a president’s own political party to publicly call for the defense secretary’s ouster. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

This man is a fucking monster who limped away from Chicago's mayor's office because he'd become unelectable after closing 50 schools and half of our city's publicly funded mental health care clinics, and covering up the fact that Chicago cops murdered a teenager. Stop whitewashing his ass!

Rahm Emanuel: ‘You Don’t Like My Ideas? Show Me Yours’ The always pugnacious Democrat is ready to fight Republicans, the DSA, and Bibi Netanyahu. And maybe run for president.

Listen, I generally believe we should uplift every vocation and not resort to elitism and classism, but this bearded, clubfoot Neanderthal is a college dropout named “Markwayne” who ran a plumbing business until only a few years ago. Why the FUCK is he standing at a lectern telling anybody ANYTHING.

Markwayne Mullin: "The Democrats throw out all these fearmongels to try to make ICE and President Trump's administration look as worse as possible" 🥴

Absolutely insane that 5 conservative justices essentially just said Congress doesn’t exist, nor does their spending power that’s explicitly outlined in the Constitution.

#BREAKING: By a 5-4 vote (with Chief Justice Roberts joining the three Democratic appointees in dissent), #SCOTUS grants a stay pending appeal in the ballroom case, clearing the way for Trump to continue building the ballroom indefinitely while the litigation proceeds.

Gym crush sat next to me in the steam room today, then happened to be getting out of the shower across from me when I was, then walked out behind me as I was leaving the locker room… 👀😮‍💨 Purely coincidental I’m sure, but I’ll pretend it’s because the tall Scandinavian twunk has a crush on me too 🤭

Oversimplified? Maybe. But to name one, fundamental difference between conservatives & progressives: Each can go through a similar tough experience & succeed. A conservative says “It was hard for me, why make it easy for you?” A progressive says “It shouldn’t be as hard for you as it was for me.”

Darline Graham said that because her own parents died when she was a kid, people today shouldn't expect "government health care." So I dug up the real story of the death of Darline/Lindsey's parents. It makes a strong case FOR government health care. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/2148...

Some of my core childhood memories include a trip to Dollywood when I was only about 4, and listening to the Once Upon a Christmas album with Kenny Rogers every year when we decorated our tree. Dolly Parton was a literal angel on earth, and the world is a little less bright today without her. ❤️‍🩹

I just know that barely sentient bag of orange lard is gonna say something deplorable about today’s news, and it’s gonna do more damage to him than any foreign beef import, war, or cost of living crisis. Cause if there’s one thing Americans still agree on, it’s that you don’t fuck with Dolly Parton.

Please don't overreact to Roberts Court decision on the contemplated USPS ballot moves They simply held that the injunction came too early in the process, before there was a final rule👇 Now we HAVE a final rule & we will litigate it. I'm as confident in our arguments here as in any of our cases!
