I worry about my top four being pretty cliche, but honestly if you were to ask me for the four films that I most wish I could’ve made, the four films which I hope I can even reach a tenth of the power in my wildest filmmaking dreams, it’d be these four.

Alright I have an sensitive question about intersectionality and possible appropriation and I want to be fully transparent about it. In my upcoming video, I adapt the Merchant of Venice “hath not a Jew eyes?” speech briefly, instead using it to discuss trans people and our dehumanization in bigotry.

My greatest fear is really that I’m an untalented hack, a cringeworthy manifestation of adolescent film bro-isms destined for failure and mockery and embarrassment, but I think I’m realizing more and more that I’d rather be an embarrassment than give up completely.

Creating stuff is funny because I constantly have these ideas I adore and feel the need to just express somehow or it'll kill me, and then I sit down and try to start writing and/or filming and/or editing, and then you realize just how much work it'll take to make that happen.

Well, I've come across an issue whilst making the new video... What do I do for censorship in regards to nudity when I am showing a cis actor play a trans woman? Specifically when I am commenting on how that undercuts the storyline that she's on estrogen?

CHASER BEASTIE BOYS : 🎤 puberty hit her not once but 🎤🎤🎤 TWICE 🎤 and after two rounds now she looks real 🎤🎤🎤 NICE 🎤 she got a pretty 🎤🎤🎤 FACE 🎤 she has nice 🎤🎤🎤 CANS 🎤 pull a chair boys we're 🎤🎤🎤 TALKIN BOUT TRANS

Cool things that happened while I was up in Montreal for Fantasia -finally got to play a D&D session with my friends in person -asked a question at the Camp Miasma Q&A about the themes -friend told Jane Schoenbrun about my TV Glow video bc I was too nervous and shy

After my 10 days in Montreal for Fantasia I feel the need to say that right now Canada’s indie film scene is so deeply exciting that as a young American filmmaker, I am legitimately jealous right now. Like America is lagging behind in nurturing its young artists.

You know how people say “you never forget how to ride a bike”? Well I’m an innovator. My friend Alex convinced me to ride a Bixi bike back to his appartment with him and I completely lost balance and fell onto a fucking car bc I hadn’t ridden a non stationary bike in 13 years.

I have been meeting people all week as I’m at Fantasia from Boston and I’ve gotten a lot of great experiences out of my friends forcing me to get out of my comfort zone and talk to film people and even with all that I approach every single one like an awkward scared baby deer.
