💡 CSS Tip! Using modern CSS, it is now easy to extract information from a responsive grid. You can get the number of columns, the number of rows, and item coordinates. css-tip.com/grid-informa... A handy code to save for (hopefully) the near future.

YES, Dark Mode Toggles _should_ be a browser feature. I wrote about this before: brm.us/dark-mode-ov... Find the link to the Chrome Bug in the post, and hit the star next to it to "upvote" the bug. (I even have a prototype extension to provide this for you: brm.us/chrome-dark-...) #cssday

Dark Mode Toggles Should be a Browser Feature

When implementing Dark Mode and ways to toggle it, developers currently need to duplicate code and roll their own toggle implementation. What if, instead, browsers would take care of all that?

Hello @bram.us, could I bother you with what may be a trivia question? Why is it not possible to use @starting-style on a ::view-transition-new? My scenario is: I turned off the animation for the group and would like to have the new one start clipped at half the height, to make a div expand.

Being good at using LLMs includes 1. Being able to provide context and craft prompts that limit the risk of hallucinations AND 2. Having processes and frameworks to vet the quality of the output from the LLM instead of blindly trusting it.

More context on this #Artemis II image: * This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right * The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon: ☀️🌍🚀🌕

A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)

✨ I just published a new blog post! It’s a deep dive into a subtle UI detail from my blog. I suspect most people don’t even notice it, but I regularly hear from the folks who *do* notice it and want to know how on earth I’m doing it. Feels a bit like I’m a magician revealing their trick. 😂
