Genuine question, do any other fellow artists have this sort of... anxiety/fear of sharing art specifically to their peers?? I never share wips or ask for advice even when I struggle, I know "do it scared" but I wouldn't even know where to begin
lmaooo I don't post art for a month, and of course when I do it's during a picture outage of bluesky 💥
A thing to get me back into painting, with an OC of mine that's been in my mind for a while. Guess I can only come up with fruity dragons 🥁
When I was doing research into the psychology of impostor syndrome for my articles, a consistent thing I found was that most people just wildly overthink what they're doing by relying entirely on external validation. And this leads to a host of other issues artistically and creatively.

This right here. I know art is a “luxury” and when people can’t afford even the basics, it’s understandable that they aren’t spending money on art stuff. So if you still support artists in these though times, know how much we all appreciate it. (And don’t feel bad if you can’t.)
