Felicity gets it. For example, we all have a robot to wash our clothes under our kitchen worktops. This would not be a sensible way for it to work, nor a sensible shape for it.

So unless the task is ‘impressing humans with how sci fi it is’, or maybe customer facing service, I struggle to believe we will have humanoid robots.

This is an ongoing, pointless, criminal, loosing war. But I'm ignorant of one thing: what's the position of economists on spending billions of borrowed or taxpayer's cash on stuff that you then blow up to no effect? It's not immediately obvious to me that it's economically harmful.

We've had indium tin oxide capacitive touch screens for so long that I had forgotten about these. So clever: the pen held a phototransistor that generated a pulse as the bright spot from the electron beam raster scan went past it. The voltages on the line and frame sawtooth signals gave X and Y.

Missing him is so hard, as is knowing that sadness & longing will be with me for the rest of my life. Rory was wonderful: empathetic, wise, super funny, loyal. I loved every minute in his company & am proud to be his Mum.
