In case this isn’t clear, all parties were working collaboratively to advance a new law on consent NOW. National withdrew from this collaboration in order to promise it would do this same thing AFTER THE ELECTION. Trying to slow down this change.

I've made the mistake of listening to a lot of Peter Thiel interviews recently to try to understand his worldview. The guy is an absolute third-rate thinker who contradicts himself every 30 seconds and nobody pushes him on it.
It's been a year already, and we know how much people love #SecretSantaAoNZ So my elf suggestion is make a donation, find a friend to treat to something home made or something joyful, or be your own Santa and treat yourself to a MeDate or something magical. There is still joy to be had and spread!
Orthanc@orthanc.nz · 2mo agoI've seen a few people asking, there won't be a mid winter #SecretSantaAoNZ this year. Foxy has been sick and the rest of us don't have the spoons right now. So be kind, spread the aroha in all the ways you can and continue to bring joy through the dark months.
It’s just a never-ending struggle at the moment. We have organisations that can do this. It’s like they want to embed as much joblessness as possible.

Ingrid Hipkiss did a great calling him out. He seems to think calm and leaden delivery will hide his excessively emotive language and framing. Yeah, nah….
