A vote for National or NZ First means returning ACT to power again. ACT are gunning for workers, disabled people, and children. They will actively and intentionally make all our lives worse, except ofc for their wealthy donor class.

Voters should judge this, yes. But IMO elections can't substitute the Speaker’s duty to apply Parliament’s rules fairly (as you've noted). If Brownlee knowingly permits one standard for Peters and another for others, Parliament normalises impunity where it should model equality before its own rules.

We usually start at 10am but are running a little late this morning. I will probably possibly be skeeting along, not sure yet.
My sister has moved house so I told her she needs to update her details on the electoral roll because same day registration is no longer possible. She had no idea about the changes. Will there be an advertising campaign? Otherwise people won't know and will be turned away on election day. #nzpol

Being at the fulcrum of attacks like this is awful. Some folks seem to forget your humanity and lose their own. It’s not Winston’s first rodeo; he knows the impact his words have and what they set off. It’s not OK.

I agree strongly with this -- in that difficult moment, the possibility of collective effort was conceivable. Not everybody felt it, but many did. I think the political class did not like this one bit.

That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.
